SSIS Developer

The SSIS Developer will develop, enhance and maintain integrity of development solutions based on defined requirements. Work effectively with others to create solutions and to support and enhance methodology. Primary responsibilities will include the development and maintenance of SSIS packages

BI SSIS Developer- MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

Develop ETL solutions using SSIS
Work with Business Analysts and customers to understand and validate end-user requirements in accordance with business need
Create and document technical designs to achieve project requirements
Complete development/programming as described in design specifications
Prepare unit test plans and execute unit testing
Participate in system and user acceptance testing tasks as assigned
Adhere to software development methodology and standards and accepted internal development stand
Provide end-user support for assigned applications (includes some on-call support during non-business hours)
Modify, enhance and maintain applications as required
Maintain integrity of applications, follow standards
Investigate and resolve system problems in a timely manner
Update system documentation as needed
Develop strong relationships with partners and end-users that allow work to move forward with a common understanding

BI SSIS Developer Requirements:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience to substitute for degree
3 years in related field preferred
3 years of Business Intelligence Software
3 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or higher
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008r2
Strong verbal and written skills
Strong prioritization and interpersonal skills to balance multiple demands
Proven ability to take leadership role on larger tasks
Self-starter; able to search for solutions
Strong and thorough understanding of project life cycle

: Responsible for conducting the necessary administrative activities needed to support the code change management program.
: Responsible for code deployment across multiple environments along with the maintenance of code branches associated with a multi-phase, multi-country roll-out strategy.
: Maintain a broad knowledge of business processes and serve as in-house consultant regarding technical architecture and software development necessary to solve complex business needs and objectives across multiple functional user groups.
: Assist in research and feasibility studies of evolving technologies.
: Experience with a variety of code repositories and IDE’s with a focus on evaluating the most current solutions that will help manage Java code among multiple developers and projects.
: Participate in impact analyses with respect to TradeSphere Exporter as any supporting technical variables undergo revisions (i.e. changes to Windows or Internet Explorer versions)
: Responsible for TradeSphere Exporter enhancement requests

Jr. Java Developer Requirements:

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
Minimum Experience Required: 5 years of related experience
Travel/Other Requirements: 15% travel

Jr. Java Developer Preferred Abilities:

: Knowledge of Oracle Applications Order Management and Shipping modules
: Experience with TradeSphere version 8.x
: Able to work both in a team and independently within a high pressure environment
: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
: Dependable and efficient
: Quick learner
: Able to begin working on a task once given a general direction; without requiring complete documentation
: Effective at working simultaneously in Development, Test and Production environments

Desired Skill Sets:

Applications: JP Morgan’s TradeSphere Exporter v 8x
Web Technologies: J2EE, XML, MQ Server, IBM WebSphere or Tomcat
Operating System: Unix, Windows, Linux
Databases: Oracle 10g or 11g
Tools: NetBeans or Eclipse, JDK 1.5, Toad, JUnit, Cruise Control or Hudson experience a plus.
TradeSphere Tools: Data Migration Utility, Doc Architecture
Programming Languages: Java, HTML, Java Script
Other: Object Oriented design and development
